COVID-19: Oluwo Appeals to Citizen on Compulsory Use of Facemask

Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi has appealed to citizens of Iwoland to compulsorily using facemask as a preventive measure against contacting the deadly coronavirus.

Oluwo stated the virus is real and should not be taken with levity, urging citizens of Iwoland to respect government’s directive on the use of facemask.

He further lauded the state government for compulsory the use of facemask to contain the spread, noting respect for the directive will decimate the havoc tendency of the virus.

In addition, he said people are dying everyday unreported because of likely stigmatisation against their family. He stated the populace has to cooperate by making themselves available for the necessary test should they notice any symptoms. He further assured citizens that infected with coronavirus is not the end of life.

Oba Akanbi equally vowed to retrench any of his staff who fail to adhere to compulsory facemask usage”.

“I want to passionately appeal to my subjects to always use a facemask. Coronavirus is airborne. It is not an infection to joke with. It is real and kills. Let’s be proactive by using our facemask regularly and respect precautionary directives from the government”

“My chiefs, princes and staff must wear it to the palace. Any of my staff seeing outside or visiting the palace without facemask will be retrenched. Let’s respect God in the present situation and stay safe”

While commending the authority so far for their proactive steps, he equally prays for the timely intervention of God to rescue the world.
