The palace of the Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, which has earlier postponed the proposed distribution of foodstuff and other relief items begins the distribution of relief package to the old and less privileged in the 3 Local Governments (Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa).
Oba Akanbi said the postponement was in respect of the State Government’s stricter restriction on movement and total lockdown.
The train of Telu Food Relief Package was in Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa Local Governments yesterday. The food relief package was distributed at the doorsteps of the old and less privileged by the Pioneer Miss Iwoland, Akande Bukola and others. Major places reached were Ile-ogbo, Oluponna, Ikire ile, ogbaagbaa, Kuta and others. The Oluwo relief packages contain essential foods that can sustain the benefactors at this trying time of no hope for them.
One of the volunteers and pioneer beauty queen from the Office of Miss Iwoland, Queen Bukola Esther Akande joined others to laud such kind gesture of his imperial majesty to humanity.

She said: “And the best treat ever is reaching out to the people who actually need it at the actual time. It brings about what we call “SATIETY.”
“So, that’s what our EMPEROR IS DOING, I was there too as a responsible ambassador of Iwoland. Serving humanity at this crucial time is also one of the best things as many find it hard to survive the lockdown. God bless Oluwo, participating was important for me.”
The benefactors shower praises and blessed Oluwo of Iwoland with prayers. You could easily the happiness on the faces of those who benefitted from the packages.
Though the Iwo Local Government relief package is yet to be distributed, however, a widow who cried out for help was also visited at Oke-oore to be given the relief food.

Oba Adewale Akanbi is known for his love for humanity. He also loves his people and ready to go any length to protect his people. The king even said any hunger that will befall his people especially the less privileged should come to him.
In his statement, Oluwo said; “A fruitful life is one committed to serving others. Nothing else could best define a meaningful existence than the one devoted to lifting others.”
“Any hunger that will befall the less privileged should come to me. Kingship is a privilege to serve.”
