Inspector Ikuesan and Constable Abass Will Be Arraigned in Court Despite Dismissal

The Force Public Relations Department of Nigeria Police says Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo and Constable Abass Ibrahim will be arraigned in the court of law for prosecution. Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo and Constable Abass Ibrahim were captured in a viral video assaulting a woman in Iwo, Osun State.

The two policemen were tried and found guilty of the charges against them and been dismissed. Their dismissal was early announced on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020.

In a message by the Force Public Relations Department of Nigeria Police, it says the two officers will not only be dismissed but also face consequences of their actions in the court of law.

The Nigeria Police says it is necessary to get feedback to the public after investigations of the unprofessional conduct by Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo and Constable Abass Ibrahim.

Positive reactions trailed the actions of the Nigerian Police for dismissing the bad eggs among them and as well prosecute them to dance to the tune of their actions.

The Special Adviser/Chairman Committee on Peaceful Co-existence Between Fulani /Bororo and the Crop Farmers in the State of Osun, Hon. Oguntola Mudasiru Toogun, has described the police brutality meted out to Tola Azeez as a condemnable act.
