Every August 3rd, the birthday of Akanji AbdulAzeez the brain behind one of the popular NGO in Iwoland is celebrated. In this post, we shall highlight 20 things you should know about him.

Here we go;

1) Akanji AbdulAzeez was born on August 3rd into the family of Mrs. Àkànjí of Ilé ọ̀moosan of Iwo, Osun state.

2) He attended Primary school in a French-speaking school in cote d’Ivoire “Les Hirondelles d’adjame” where he formally learned how to speak French fluently.

3) He attended his Junior secondary school in an English-speaking school in Cote d’Ivoire “GOF INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE, Abidjan“. That’s where he started learning the English language.

4) For his senior secondary school, Akanji AbdulAzeez attended “Islamic model College” in Iwo, Osun state. Where he had his senior secondary school certificate in the year 2012.

5) He studied English language and political science in a private college of education in Ìbàdàn (AL-IBADAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (IBACOED)). Where he graduated as one of the best students in the year 2015.

6) As a graduate of a college of education, he taught Government and literature in the English language in Ibadan (Ridwanullah Model College, Shagari) and Iwo ( Islamic model college). Between the July 2015 and February 2017.

7) In his quest to fulfill the work of a real educationist, when he was a teacher, he established a seasonal bookshop that sells books at a cheaper price to students which was aimed at helping all students to have access to all educational materials at a cheaper price and some that were not able to afford to buy the books due to financial problem were given major subjects books for free.

8) In his selfless activities, Akanji Abdul Azeez has volunteered to teach Government and Literature in English to students of Baptist high school, Iwo when most of them were complaining of lack of subject teacher in 2016.

9) In the year 2016, he volunteered to be a tutor at the summer class organized by the Federation of Iwoland Students’ Union (FILSU) National Headquarters, where he also donated textbooks, novels, and instructions materials to the committee headed by the then chairman, com Habeeb Muyiwa PKA Balogun Jorjor.

10) Akanji Abdul Azeez established a “movable” educational consulting firm in Abidjan, which he called The Educationist Educational Consult in the year 2017 where he takes as a responsibility to counsel Nigerian secondary school students in Abidjan in a greater percentage of the schools.

11) He was a visiting ambassador in TECNO MOBILE company between April 2017 to July 2017.

12) Due to his hard work, he got promoted to the post of Area Sales supervisor in TECNO MOBILE COMPANY between year July 2017 till July 2018.

13) In July 2018, he got promoted in TECNO MOBILE COMPANY to the post of Regional sales manager where he serves as the manager of the sales team.

14) His contract ended as Regional sales manager at TECNO MOBILE COMPANY in October 2019, then he followed his dream to be an educationist. He got an appointment in November 2019 to be an English language facilitator to French-speaking students in a language firm in Abidjan called Binnie’s English Training. His contract ended in May 2020 as an English language facilitator.

15) He got an appointment to work with Axel Brand Activation in January 2020 as a Data Analyst under the franchise of a Brewery company in Abidjan called Brassivoire. Due to the Corona crisis, he lost the job in April 2020.

16) In May 2020, he got an appointment to work with Vivo smartphone in the capacity of Marketing Director.

17) He established an NGO in his home town which he called THE AMBASSADORS OF IWOLAND. on January 1, 2019. The NGO is mainly established to perform humanitarian activities for less privileged students, orphans, widows, and the needy.

The Ambassadors of Iwoland, a charitable organization in Iwoland has congratulated the latest crowned of Miss Iwoland 2020 winners.

18) He has singlehandedly sponsored some projects ranging from helping students pay their tuition fees, providing educational material to less privileged students, and feeding orphans, widows and the needy.

19) In his quest to be more educated, he was admitted to being a student of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in 2019 where he’s studying Public administration.

20) He is a writer for the AOP blog, Iwoland hub blog, and Sabtrends blog.
