Family Background
Alhaji Adeniyi Rufai was born into the family of Alhaji S. Adebayo and Late Mrs. Mojirayo Taiwo Rufai (of the blessed memory).
His father, popularly known as Papa Chary is from Oga-Onila’s compound, Molete Ward III, Iwo, and his mother, well known as Ejire Foto also from Erin-Owon’s compound, Molete Ward II, Iwo.
He grew up with his late maternal grandmother, Madam Fatimat Ayoni Salawu (Née Nafiu) of the blessed memory, who was known as Mama Alakara at Olubu’s Compound, Isale-Oba Ward, Iwo.

Early Life
He had his early elementary education at A.U.D. Pry School, Akinfenwa, Isale-Oba, Iwo, Osun State. He later proceeded to Baptist High School, Adeeke, Iwo for both junior and senior high school. In the year 1999, he gained admission to Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State into the School of Business and Management Studies, Dept of Marketing where he was awarded both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Marketing, 2003 and 2007 respectively.
He had his National Youth Service (NYSC) at Wukari, Taraba State and did his community service with the Federal Road Safety Commission, Wukari, Taraba State.
Working Experience
He worked as Accounts Officer for Lifecare Ventures Limited, Ota, Ogun State between 2004 and 2006 before he finally left his job to fully concentrate on his studies at Federal Polytechnic Offa.
Adeniyi Rufai left for the United States in the year 2009 after his national youth service in the search for greener pasture.
He is currently a full-time employee of the City of New York, Human Resources Administration, Department of Social Services. Also, he is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a Petty Officer and honourably discharged after completing his service.

He is the Chief Executive of Instinct Group LLC, New York and RUFADEM Nigeria Limited, Nigeria. And a shareholder of a few other investments in the US and Nigeria.
Alhaji Adeniyi Rufai is the co-founder of RAI Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization established to give support to the needy. Helping the poor by providing free economic services as an assistant to the community and caring for the elderly and aged people. Whilst promoting youth-oriented initiatives in conjunction with other partnering NGOs.
He was popularly known as El-Rufai during his college days, while his high schoolmates knew him as Sir RAI in high school days. He was also nicknamed as Super-Dee during his childhood elementary school days by his peers.

Also, he is a founder, co-founder, and member of many organizations/social groups. Adeniyi Rufai also belongs to several professional bodies, labour, and industrial unions, leadership groups, advocacy, and social and political groups.
He has held a few political posts during his college days. He was a campus activist, unionist and columnist.
Moreover, he is currently the Employees Union Representative for DC37 in the City of New York. And also a member of Quality Workers Life (QWL) of NYC HRA.
Awards
He has been honored with several local and international awards by many organizations; labor and industrial unions, advocacy groups, leadership and humanitarian organizations, religious bodies, students’ unions and associations, entertainment industries, and many more for his selfless services, contributions and support.
Alhaji Adeniyi Ismail, Rufai is happily married and blessed with children.
