The Ameer of Jama’atu Ta’awun, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, has urged the Governor Gboyega Oyetola to put an end to the lockdown in the state. Sheikh Imran advises not to extend the lockdown in the state beyond 2 weeks to avoid economic recession and also in the interest of the state and the people.
The Ameer said we should thank God that the pandemic situation has not gone beyond control. Therefore, the Governor should not call for an extension of the lockdown. He, however, urges the people of Osun to stay safe, take preventive measures when doing their businesses and interacting with others.
The statement of Ameer Ta’awun reads thus; “Natural disasters and calamities have been hitting different parts of the world throughout human history, so ours would not be the first. It might be a punishment of Allah for those who cross His limits, warning for the sinners and test for the believers. He does His things for reasons.”

Sheikh Imran continues: “As tomorrow marks the end of 2-week total lockdown placed on the state by the government to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic, we appeal to the government of Gboyega Oyetola to please avoid its extension in the interest of the state and the people.”
“We urge the government to let the lockdown be over to avoid economic recession and beam its searchlight on our bothers to monitor who comes in and goes out. Above all, ask people to take preventive measures when doing their businesses and interacting with others. In all, God must come first.” Ameer concluded.
