June 10th, 2020 marked exactly 6 years that death took away a great Islamic Scholar, a Politician of great repute. Of course, one of the founding fathers of the present Osun State, Late Alhaji Lateef Adeleke Bakare Katayeyanjue.
As decreed by Almighty Allah, the cold hands of death snatched him from us on the 10th of June 2014.
As painful as his demise was, we took solace in the words of Allah (SWT) that “Every soul shall taste death.” and in whom he was until that sickness that we could not fathom started.
Late Prince Katayeyanjue was the best father that one could have. A responsible leader that any reasonable being would desire to have, A supportive husband and a father who played his vital role to his spouse and children.
He has gone for the past 6 years now but the good memories and fondness lingered on. His life was eventful. Ever smiling, ever ready to help and assist. Very industrious and progressive.

Late Alhaji Prince Lateef Adeleke Bakare Katayeyanjue made notable marks, in the area of religion, policing and politics which deserves attention. He carved a niche for himself as an illustrious politician, Nigeria statesman, and a man with an unparalleled commitment to the public. He was notable for his transparency and accountability.
We shall continue to pray to God for the repose of his gentle soul and that of his beloved wife that joined the inevitable train back to the mercy of Allaah on the 23rd of November 2012.
May Allah (SWT) erase his lapses, cancel his slips, forgive his mistakes and grant the two of them and all our departed souls the highest places in Aljannah Firdaous. Amin.
