Did you know our Iwo Waterworks is a potential goldmine of “unused” resources that can generate both revenue and exposure for Iwoland?
Despite having a Commissioner for Water Resources in almost every administration, we still lack access to quality water supply services and our waterworks remain underutilized.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on this:
- Hon. Oyebisi Alamu – Commissioner for Water Resources (Bisi Akande’s administration)
- Hon. Amidu Tadese – Commissioner for Water Resources (Gboyega Oyetola’s administration)
- Hon. Sunday Oroniyi – Commissioner for Water Resources (Ademola Adeleke’s administration)

Some of the benefits of a Revitalized Waterworks:
- Reliable Water Source – Ensuring, clean, safe and abundant water for all.
- Agricultural Support – Boosts local farming with a consistent water supply.
- Recreational Activities – Creates spaces for leisure activities.
- Tourism – Attracts visitors, showcasing Iwoland’s beauty and heritage.
- Job Creation – Providing employment opportunities for our people.
- Boosting the Economy – Strengthens our local economy through various activities.
We pray for leadership that will prioritize the revitalization of this waterworks and all other essential amenities in Iwo, Ayedire, and Ola Oluwa.
May God bless us with leaders who will bring these dreams to reality.
