The Ambassadors of Iwoland in collaboration with HMB Foundation train some selected youths in Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-oluwa local government on digital marketing skills. The programme which was tagged “Digital Marketing Masterclass 1.0” held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2020 at FILSU Secretariat, Iwo, Osun State.
The 2-Day Digital Marketing Masterclass was organized for free for all Youths in Iwo, Ola-oluwa and Ayedire local government by the Ambassadors of Iwoland in partnership with the HMB Foundation. Though the digital class targeted only 50 participants across the three local governments in Iwoland. Among the topics discussed during the training sessions were; Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Email Marketing and categories of Digital Marketing.

While speaking, the Founder of Ambassadors of Iwoland, Akanji AbdulAzeez, said we are in the digital world, therefore it is essential to organize such program for the youths across the 3 local governments. He further stated that the training session is important for the youths to learn the basics of Digital Marketing to help them in various be it for personal development, career or business-wise.
He said: “This is a digital generation. We must ensure youths know how to maximize the digital tools in their immediate environment. The digital marketing masterclass is an eye-opener for many youths in Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa Local government.”

He continued: “The partnership with the HMB Foundation was necessary to enlighten youths how digital tools can be used to boost their personal life, business, career and as well the proper usage of the social media platforms.”
“We believed they have learned one or two things during the 2-Day event. This is just the basics, we hope to partner with HMB Foundation or other NGOs in Iwoland in the future for such program again.” Akanji AbdulAzeez concluded.

While speaking, the Founder of HMB Foundation, Hon. Maryam Balogun explained that the digital class was targeted at the youths in Iwoland who are the main users of smartphones and digital gadgets. She stated that the skills can be used for personal use or source of income.
Hon Maryam said: “We are in a digital world, we are all using digital gadgets especially the youths. Therefore, it is important to organize this type of program to expose our youths in Iwoland on how to maximize its usage, make money from it and boost their digital presence in the digital space. Youths without digital skills in this 21st century may find it difficult in this country.
