The Chairman of Committee on Peaceful Co-existence Between Fulani/Bororo and Crop Farmers in the State of Osun, Hon. Oguntola Mudasiru Toogun has revealed that to build a good community the youths must be adequately educated.
He said this during a leadership summit organized by the Federation of Iwoland Students Union, Crestfield Chapter, Erin Osun in partnership with the Ambassadors of Iwoland “building community in your organization.”
The summit was organized to sensitize the students of Iwoland at Crestfield College of Education, Erin Osun and all the youths at the event. It was a massive programme as over 200 students were in attendance coupled with august guest lecturers, youths from Iwoland, associations, politicians, commissioners and other government parastatal officials.

The event that was held on Thursday, November 25, 2021 had many dignitaries like; Engr Mumini Olabamiji (Special Advisers to the Osun State Governor on Rural Development and Communities Affairs), Honourable Uzamot Aliu (Honourable Representing Iwo at the Osun State House of Assembly), Alhaja Fauziyat Folakemi Olaniyan (The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on OMEALS) and Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji (Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Osun State Governor on Students’ Affairs and Social Mobilisation).
Other panellists at the event were Mr. Alli Adetayo (Director, Crowee International School, Iwo), Hon. Mariam Balogun (The CEO, HMB Interior & Exterior Design), Busari Aderonke (The CEO, Idea Textile) and others.
Hon Oguntola Mudasiru Toogun advised the students on the need to keep speaking the Yoruba language which is our mother tongue. He said Yoruba is a language spoken in West Africa, most prominently Southwestern Nigeria that should never be regarded as vernacular.

Hon Oguntola Mudasiru Toogun noted that peace and collective efforts are key to the development of a community. He also pointed out that there is nothing like little contributions as small efforts contributed by every individual are worthy in community development.
He said: “In building a good community, there must be peace and collectivity of progress. Everyone should contribute his or her quota to build a community.”
“There is no little or small thing to build a community. To build a good community, youths should be adequately educated. Not to involve themselves in criminality, when all these things are done, then we can build a good and vibrant society.” He concluded.
