In a bid bring succour to distressed families, especially private school teachers in Iwoland, Iwoland Development Coalition (IDC) on Saturday distributed food items to tutors in private schools to cushion the impact of coronavirus pandemic.
Beneficiaries of the special intervention of the coalition spread across the Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa local governments.
Coronavirus pandemic forced schools to shut down and the impact has to be more telling on private school employees, who have not received payment since March.

Distributing the relief items, IDC coordinator, Mr. Kabiru Adeniyi Adisa, FCA, said: “We feel the pains of our brothers and sisters that have seen a significant loss in their income as a result of school closure due to coronavirus.”
Mr Adisa noted that “this is IDC’s little way of cushioning the horrible experience they are passing through, and believe things will get better soon.”
IDC reiterated commitment to the people of Iwoland, stressing that it would continue to mobilize resources for both economic upliftment and human capital development of the three local governments that made up the land.
