The Jama’atu Ta’awun Muslimeen, an Islamic organization led by Sheikh Dawood Imran has commissioned an Ultra-Modern Mosque in Iwo on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Many Scholars, prominent individuals and dignitaries graced the commissioning of the mosque by the popular Islamic organization.
The mosque is located at the centre of the city, an area called ‘Oja-Ale in Iwo. The ultra-modern mosque is also close to the Arch of Telu that was commissioned early this year by Oba Adewale Akanbi.

The guest of honour was the Minister of Interior of Nigeria, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who officially opened the mosque. The former governor of Osun State, Aregbesola, advised that the mosque should be used for spiritual development and seeking Islamic knowledge.
Among dignitaries who were present at the commissioning, including Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, the Wazeer of Yorubaland Sheikh Ya’hqub AbdukBaaqi Muhammad, Shaykh Shaamiy Nushi Shaamiy (the Ex-President of the World Assembly Muslim Youth (WAMY), Alhaji Kunle Sanni (the chairman Oyo state Muslim community) Com. Amitolu Shitu (DG Amotekun in Osun), Alhaji Salinsile, the Imam of Iwoland, Hon. Yinusa Amobi, Doctors, Scholars and other dignitaries.

In his remark, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan expresses its gratitude to all those who attended the commissioning of the symbolic mosque. He prayed that may Almighty Allah continue to strengthen everyone goodness and path of Islam.
The people of Iwoland was also urged to make use of the mosque to learn the Quran and teachings of the prophet Muhammad.
