In a bid to make history and inspire a love for reading and learning, Samson Ajao, a dedicated bibliophile from Nigeria, is embarking on a quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest marathon reading aloud.

Samson Ajao, known for his boundless passion for books and literary excellence, has set his sights on surpassing the current record set by Rysbai Isakov from Bursa, Turkey, who read aloud for an impressive 124 hours in September 2022.
Ajao’s journey, scheduled to span a total of 214 hours, is not merely about personal achievement but about championing the cause of reading. He believes that reading is the key to personal and societal advancement, citing the famous quote, “Readers become leaders,” as his driving force.
Having served as the President of the Students Union Government at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, and as the Chairman of the Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan Old Boys Association, Ajao understands the transformative power of education and the written word.
