An Iwo indigene, Alamu Azeez Adebayo, who is also a student of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) becomes the first Graduate of the University of Ilorin to graduate with a first Class at the Department of Political Science in the history of the 47 years old Institution.
Alamu Azeez Adebayo hails from Lakata Compund (Ile Lakata), Iwo, Osun State.
The young man, Alamu Azeez Adebayo, popularly known as ‘Mr. Nigeria‘ has become the jinx breaker at the Department of Political Science, UNILORIN as he graduates with a First Class; the first of its kind 40 years after the establishment of the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ilorin.

There are few departments at the University of Ilorin known for producing graduates that often miss out on first-class grades in some courses like Economics, Political Science, and Sociology among others.
In 2015, four graduates broke the jinx in the department of Economics, leading to the first 4 First Class Graduates since the creation of the department in 1978. For the Department of Political Science, Alamu Azeez Adebayo becomes the record breaker.
Contrary to the popular opinion that the department of Political Science, UNILORIN can not produce a first class, the Iwo-indigene Alamu Azeez has made history and changed the narrative. He tried it like many others like him and broke the jinx of the department to set a new record (1982 – 2022).

Alamu Azeez Adebayo was a frontline scholar among the students and an education consultant. He facilitated the easy admission process for many Unilorin students and was known for his usual volunteering activities.
Also, Alamu Azeez celebrated his birthday recently, the good news got from the UNILORIN portal as the first ever first class graduate of his department was a perfect gift to celebrate his day.
