Over 20 women and over 50 school children of Oluponna town benefited from the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady of the Federation, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The programme unveiled by the wife of the chairman, Ayedire South LCDA, Mrs Beatrice Akintola aimed to empower women beyond the conventional businesses women are known for.

“We aim to empower women so as to get them involved in agriculture. Because of this, we have seeds here to share with the women. Also, the women will go home with food relief packages.”
“As for the school children, they will get stationeries.” Beatrice Akintola said.
The school children who benefitted from the Renewed Hope Initiative include pupils of St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Community Primary School, Alaya, Duran Adigun Comprehensive Primary School, DC Primary School and Baptist Day Primary School, all in Oluponna.
