Oluponna Students' Union, Tunji Ogunrinu ICT Centre Conduct a 3-day Capacity Building Event for Youths

The Federation of Oluponna Students’ Union in conjunction with Tunji Ogunrinu ICT Centre has conducted a three-day soft skills acquisition training for students and young persons in Oluponna and its environs.

Twenty students benefitted from the programme and they learnt graphic designing, using MS Word and other application software and answering Computer-based Tests which will aid them tremendously when sitting for UTME.

While speaking to Iwolandhub, Comrade Gbotemi Adigun, the president of the Federation of Oluponna Students Union said the union embarked on the programme because the last time such an empowerment event was held was around 10 years ago.

He stated the need to empower the youths even with what may be considered the least. He commended the collaborator, Tunji Ogunrinu saying “Tunji Ogunrinu Centre tried and should be applauded.

Adigun further stated that the plans of his administration saying his administration has lots more to offer the good people of Oluponna. “We are planning a bigger orientation programme, a renovation of the secretariat and the disbursement of financial aid to students among other things.

Participants were given certificates after the empowerment-building programme.
