The member House of Representatives elected for Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Alhaji Lukman Kayode Mudashir, welcomed Muslims to the holy month of Ramadan, urged Muslims to be self-discipline as it is an important period in the Islamic calendar.
Alhaji Lukman Kayode Mudashir said the essence of this month is not just about abstaining from food. It is about purifying the soul, drawing closer to God, and also being a good ambassador of Islam.
In a statement released by Alhaji Lukman Kayode Mudashir, the member of the House of Representatives elect who is also the Aare Atunluṣe of Iwoland, he said;

“Dear Muslim brothers and sisters,
“As we welcome the beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan, I want to take this opportunity to extend my warmest congratulations to you all. This is a time of reflection, self-discipline, and devotion, and it is an important period in the Islamic calendar.”
“During this month, you will be fasting from sunrise to sunset, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs. But the essence of this month is not just about abstaining from food. It is about purifying the soul, drawing closer to God, and being a good ambassador of Islam.”

“I urge you all to stick to the teachings that come with this holy month. Use this time to reflect on your actions, seek forgiveness, and show kindness and generosity towards others. This is the month of charity and supplication, and we should use this time to help those in need, just as the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) exemplified.”
“As Muslims, we should strive to be good examples of Islam, not only during this month but beyond. Let us use this month to strengthen our faith, deepen our spiritual connection, and spread the message of love, peace, and tolerance.”
“Once again, I congratulate you all on the beginning of this holy month, and I pray that Allah (SWT) grants you all the strength and blessings to complete the fast with ease. May this month bring you all closer to Allah (SWT), and may He accept all your prayers and supplications.
