The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, has commended President Muhammad Buhari and Senator Oriolwo for choosing Iwo as the place for the establishment of a National Library.

Adelere Oriolwo who is representing Osun West Senatorial District facilitated the situating of a National Library to commemorate the National Youth Day.

In a statement released by Alli Ibraheem, Chief Press Secretary to Oluwo, the monarch congratulate to the people of Osun West senatorial district on this achievement made by Senator Oriolowo.

Oba Akanbi said situating a National Library in Iwo is a dividend of democracy under the administration of President Muhammad.

Oluwo said: “I commend the federal government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under President Muhammed Buhari for situating a National Library in Iwo, the seat of Osun West Senatorial District.”

“While I congratulate the people of the district for the new federal presence, I equally acknowledge and commend the legislative prowess of the senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Adelere Oriolowo for facilitating the project to his district.’

He continued: “Buhari’s records in reaching out to the most marginalized, Iwo inclusive, is exceptional and a step ahead at convincing many that Nigeria is our collective heritage. Iwo, the 5th largest city in Nigeria as at 1939 is gradually regaining her strength through her recognition by the current government under the watch of Muhammed Buhari.”

Oba Akanbi said the palace and the people of Iwo will collaborate with the team whenever the project starts.

Oluwo said: “The library, according to the visitation team to my palace yesterday, is to be built and equiped to international taste. The palace will collaborate to give necessary support to the team and the site engineering. We have the trust of the team for a quality job.”
