The Bowen University in Iwo, Osun State, received a distinguished guest and Royal Father yesterday as the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, played the role of Royal Host at the institution’s 18th convocation ceremony.
The event, held at the grand University auditorium on Saturday, 4th of November, 2023 was graced by the regal presence of Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland.
His Imperial Majesty commended the new management team of Bowen University and extended his assurance of utmost cooperation and peaceful coexistence with the university’s hosting community.

As the ceremony unfolded, Oluwo congratulated the graduating students, applauding their dedication and perseverance throughout their academic journey. He also commended the parents and guardians for their commitment and sacrifices made in educating, nurturing and upbringing of their children.
In his heartfelt address, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi offered his prayers and blessings to the graduating students, invoking favour and prosperity for their future endeavours in the labour market. His words carried with them the weight of tradition and a promise of a bright and promising future for the graduates.

Oluwo said: “I commended the new management team of the institution and assured utmost cooperation and peaceful coexistence with Iwo, the hosting community.”
