In a grand ceremony marked by the presence of numerous dignitaries and royalty, former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, commissioned the country home of Hon. Amobi Yinusa Akintola on June 2nd, 2024.
The event was a significant milestone for the former member of the House of Representatives, who represented Ayedire/Iwo/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly from 2019 to 2023.

The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Nigeria’s former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. The former President was joined by distinguished guests, including prominent traditional rulers such as Oba Hammed Oyelude Makama, the Olowu of Kuta, and Oba Saka Matemimole, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta.
The gathering also featured numerous other royalties and eminent personalities from Iwoland, Osun State, and across Nigeria. Among them are Senator Adelere Oriolowo and Alhaji Fatai Akinade Akinbade; the former Secretary to the State Government in Osun State.

The commissioning ceremony was a momentous occasion not only for Hon. Amobi but also for the entire community, symbolizing a blend of political and traditional leadership. The event coincided with the celebration of the 10th coronation anniversary of the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammed Oyelude Makama.
In his speech, Chief Obasanjo praised Hon. Akintola for his commitment to public service and the development of his community.
