An Iwo-born student, Azeezat Oreoluwa Lawanson, emerged as the overall best student at the 11th Convocation ceremony of Nile University, Abuja.
Azeezat Oreoluwa Lawanson hails from the Ajijagun Esin compound in Iwo, Osun State.
Azeezat Lawanson achieved this feat by graduating with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.9 in Mass Communication/Media Studies, securing her position as the Best Graduating Student in the department.

Nile University recently held its 11th Convocation ceremony where 1,251 undergraduate and postgraduate students were across seven faculties. 84 of them were awarded first-class degrees.
One of the distinguished first-class degrees is an Iwo indigene, Azeezat Lawanson, with an outstanding CGPA of 4.9 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
At the 11th convocation, outstanding students received special recognition scholarships and cash gifts. Azeezat Oreoluwa Lawanson received a sum of five hundred thousand (N500,000) as the Department of Mass Communications’ Best Graduating Student.

A few weeks ago, an award was presented by the Mass Communication Students Association (Nile University Chapter) as a recognition of her achievement of graduating with an outstanding CGPA of 4.9 out of 5.0.
Expressing her gratitude and humility, Azeezat Lawanson shared, “I am humbled and honoured to announce that I have been awarded the 2023 best-graduating student in Mass Communication from the prestigious Nile University of Nigeria.”
