February 22nd 2024 marked a momentous occasion as friends, colleagues, students, family members and well-wishers gathered to honour Professor Taiwo Alimi in a triple celebration – the launch of his new textbook, his 70th birthday and retirement from active service.
Professor Taiwo Alimi is an erudite scholar. He is not only a mentor for many but also a Patron of the Federation of Iwoland Students’ Union (FILSU) on OAU Campus. He is a professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics, OAU, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

He specialises in Agricultural Production Economics, Agribusiness Management and Finance Economic analysis of business enterprises (cotton, fish farming, cassava) and their downstream sectors in Nigeria and Swaziland.

With expertise spanning decades, Professor Alimi has left an indelible mark in academia and research.
