A Bright Green Light Beckons For Iwo Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber
As the green light in a traffic situation signals a forward movement so it is for us in Iwo/Aiyedire/Ola-Oluwa federal constituency as the Honourable member representing the federal constituency in the Green Chamber, Hon Alhaji Amobi Yinusa Akintola has set every machineries in motion for the forward take-off of the federal constituency in the National political space.
One of such move is to ensure the completion of the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo federal road that has been abandoned for a while which he’s now ready to sponsor a bill concerning the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the road that connects several communities and two states (Osun and Oyo State).
He said he has liaised with his colleagues from Ayedaade/Isokan/Ikire federal constituency, Hon Taiwo Oluga as well the honourable member from Oyo federal constituency in Oyo state on the need to deploy a collaborative strategy to ensure the completion of the road project as soon as possible.

He made this known while speaking with the trio of Alhaji Nurudeen Emiloju, Yusuff Ola-Gold Mutalub Mutalub Ola-Gold, Niyi Isamotu at the country home of Asiwaju of Iwoland, Barr Gbadegesin over the weekend before he left for Abuja on Sunday.
Moreover, he equally stated he has spoken with the contractor in charge of the road. Also, the contractor made it known to him that he would need an upward review of the contract for him to ensure the continuation of the road project. He, however, said he has started using his legislative connections to liaise with the Federal Ministry of Works for the upward review of the contract in a bid for the road project to be completed as soon as possible.
He said this and many more other things he has in the pipeline for the good people of Iwo federal constituency as he begins his journey as a member of the 9th National Assembly.

According to the Honourable Amobi, he said;
“Dear constituents, the rehabilitation and reconstruction of GBONGAN-IWO-OYO road that is progressing at ‘Snail Speed’ is unacceptable by me. Also, the construction of Kuta-Ede road and a bridge over Osun River along the road in Osun State need attention.”
“The uncompleted portion of Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo road remained badly eroded and dusty contributing menace and health hazard to travellers. Also, residents impacted negatively on the economy of 5 Local Government Areas in 3 Federal Constituency of Osun and Oyo State.”
“I have already filed a motion on the 3rd of this month for the completion and construction of the said roads as a Matter of Urgent Public Importance awaiting Mr Speaker approval.”
“I will move the motion on the floor of the House for Federal Government to complete the project as soon as possible.” He concluded.
