The reason for the fire outbreak is unclear as at the point of this report and it was suspected to have been somewhat an electrical malfunction because the fire broke out just few minutes after the PHCN supplied electricity.

It was also reported that two Islamic holy books, the holy Qur’an were found after the fire had razed down the entire building.
One of the residents, Olarenwaju Abdulrahman, said the Iwo fire service couldn’t get to the scene immediately! After calling, they insisted that no water in their tank and no fuel until they contacted Abuja headquarter for fire service and Abuja headquarter also contact osogbo! Before the osogbo fire service could arrive, people have already quenched the fire!
This is the second time that the Iwo Firefighters will fail the people of Iwoland in 2021. The loss of properties could be averted if they have not failed to do their primary assignements.
