Our attention has been drawn to the release of the Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, YUWICAN where lies and deceitful statement were made against this noble organization, Taawun, for public consumption.
It is quite unfortunate that the Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria can bring themselves so low because of hatred to Islam to tarnish Taawun image, an humanitarian organization, which has been at the fore front in securing life and property of the people in the community with so many developmental projects ongoing.

The Christian group who accused Taawun of being a militant group should come out and state numbers of Churches that Taawun has burnt or destroyed or a number of Christian it has shed their blood? We know of mosques the Christians have burnt and destroyed. So, this tells much of who we are as Muslims and who they are as Christian.
The issue of Church building in Iwo Secretariat is crystal clear. It is the issue of Iwo Muslim community and not Taawun as being propagated by the Christian Youth Wing.
“How can a church be built when there is no land allocated for such in the said local government?” That is what the Muslim community is asking.

They said, the document the CAN brought that shows 1999 was known to have been revoked. Likewise, the council manager said he was not aware of such document and still you come online to deceive general public by misinforming them. Is that what Christianity teaches?
Taawun position on this matter is the stand of the Muslim community. So kindly make your findings well before crying wolf.
Iwo is our place of birth, our own Mecca and Medina. So don’t be an attention seeker, let’s all tow the path of peace. Enough of your lies. Let us breath.
