Last week, the governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola surprised the people of Iwoland with a huge lie at Iwo City Hall. Governor Oyetola, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and other dignitaries were special guests of honour invited by Jamaatul- Taawun at the commissioning of a symbolic mosque. Governor Oyetola said as promised he has delivered a motorable Iwo-Osogbo road to the people of Iwoland.
During the 2 years anniversary of Governor Oyetola, we stated it clearly here that they will still come to you, package the deceptive progressive idea.
The governor had the audacity to make a false statement in the public. The reaction of Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale Akanbi says it all. Oyetola indirectly reminded Aregbesola that the promise he failed to keep on Iwo-Osogbo road has been done by his administration. It is a shame that the same government that can’t boast of any achievement in Iwo is being endorsed for another term.

It is clear enough to see that the ‘4+4’ is a deal for Oyetola. The question to our people is, what Iwo tends to benefit? Even, the governor could only talk about the Federal College of Education and nothing else.
An adage says ‘Satide to ba ma dara, Jimo sa la ti mo’, if Iwo as one of the biggest cities in Osun State could be neglected and marginalised during the first term, what else should we be expecting in the second term as we all know how the second term administration is run in this country.
Little wondering what the governor will say he has done for Iwoland to deserve our votes again. Could it be an audio promise that the next governor will come from Iwoland if Oyetola spends 8 years as a governor?
Oyetola has learned from Aregbesola. He is using same tactics his predecessor used to cajole people in Iwoland. Their popular slogan is “Iwo is my home. Omo Iwo ni e mi na”.

Iwo is your home but you can’t boast of any project commissioned so far by your administration. Funnily enough, some people were shouting Allahu Akbar, what a shame.
Oyetola will return to Abeere happily that everything is fine in Iwo since our people praised and cheered him for the gigantic projects he has done in Iwo.
