The Iwo State Constituency Lawmaker-Elect, Adesina Rabiu Atanda, received certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday March 30, 2023.
Adesina Rabiu Atanda politically known as ARA and twenty five other lawmakers-elect received their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with the promise to ensure a greater Osun at the Assembly.
The presentation of the certificates was conducted by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner at the headquarters of the INEC office at Osogbo, Osun State.

The lawmaker also thanked his constituents in Iwo Local Government for their support for him and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Addressing journalists shortly after receiving his certificate, Adesina Rabiu Atanda said, “With a great sense of humility, I give thanks to Almighty God and to all party dignitaries in my local government who have one way or the other made a significant contribution to this success.”
“My certificate of return is duly collected and dedicated to Almighty Allah and the people of my constituency.”
“The opportunity given to me can never be taken for granted. I am also going there to make a positive impact for the development of Iwo local government.” He concluded.

Adesina Rabiu expressed optimism that Iwo will benefit from the centre in the next administration because “we have a Governor that we all have absolute confidence in to deliver good governance for the people of Osun State.”
Adesina Rabiu Atanda polled the majority votes by scoring 17,358 to defeat Hon. Tunde Akinwola Akinlawon of the Action Peoples’ Congress (APC) who scored 10,355 votes and Engr. Adelaja Kasali Nurudeen of ADP with 2,294 votes.
