The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Adesina Rabiu Atanda of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Saturday’s election for the Iwo State Constituency seat at the Osun State House of Assembly in Osogbo.
The INEC Returning Officer declared Adesina Rabiu who polled 17,358 votes as the winner at the Iwo Collation Centre on Sunday.
The son of the late political guru in Iwo and Osun State at large, Adesina Rabiu finally emerged victorious in the just concluding House of Assembly elections conducted throughout the nation.

Adesina Rabiu Atanda polled the majority votes as the masses’ choice to represent Iwo Local Government at the Osun State House of Assembly. Adesina Rabiu sweeps all the fifteen wards in Iwo Local Government to seal his victory.
The candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Adesina Rabiu Atanda politically known as ARA, scored 17,358 votes while Hon. Tunde Akinwola Akinlawon of the Action Peoples’ Congress (APC) scored 10,355 votes and Engr. Adelaja Kasali Nurudeen of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) scored 2,294 votes.
