Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has appealed to Islamic scholars and admirers to collaborate with him on the reconstruction and promotion of Iwo Central Mosque.
Oba Akanbi described Iwo Central Mosque as unbefitting of the status of Iwo as the headquarters of Islam in southwestern Nigeria. The Monarch prays Islamic religious leaders in Iwo to complement his renewed interest in the reconstruction of the Mosque.
Oluwo made the appeal today in Iwo at the commissioning of a multimillion naira ultra modern Mosque built by the Mogaji dynasty under the watch of Sheik Idris Fasazi Abdulrosheed.
Oluwo also disclosed his resolve to technically disengage Mosque’s officials acting contrary to the progressive dictates.
Oba Akanbi said the reconstruction of the Mosque is not negotiable under his watch. Oluwo urges meaningful Muslim sons and daughters of Iwoland to initiate fundraising for the Mosque with assured transparency.
He also assured Muslims of an improved commitment to the promotion of Islam.
