A Super Falcon Debut for Ile-Ogbo born Defender, Rofiat Imuran, as Nigeria Beat Ethiopia 4-0

The Ile-Ogbo-born defender, Rofiat Imuran, made her debut for the Super Falcon team today; Tuesday, 31st of October 31 2023 in the second leg of their Olympic qualifiers second round at MKO Abiola Stadium.

Rofiat Imuran who plays at left-back was solid at the back and made some nice defending to stop any threat from the Ethiopian attackers.

In the 55th minute of the game, she sustained an injury which required the attention of the medical team. Rofiat was rushed outside the pitch.

After receiving medical attention she continued with the game. Unfortunately, she was forced out at 60 minutes as she couldn’t continue the game. Rofiat Imuran was subbed out for Nicole Payne.

The Super Falcons are through to the next round of the Olympic Qualifiers. They await second-round winners between Cameroon and Uganda.

We also pray she recovers on time to be on the pitch for the Super Falcons.

Rofiat Imuran was also part of the Super Falcons team in the last FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 though she didn’t feature in any of the matches.
