The suspended Iwo Traditional Council Meeting was reconvened and presided by the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, today.
The well-attended meeting which encompasses Iwoland (Iwo, Ayedire and Ola Oluwa Local Governments). The Iwo Traditional Council Meeting had about 20 monarchs, 30 chiefs with some princes in attendance.
The meeting ushered in a renewed peace in the institution as attendees pledged their loyalty to the progress of the council.
Oba Akanbi declared said the impasse was generated by rumour mongers, saying the new era has returned to the Council. He admonished council members to respect the sanctity of the council.
He implored members to promote unity and speak in unison for the interest of the land.
Asides from the peace talks, issues bothering on Security and the future of Iwoland were discussed.
