Osogbo – Iwo Road Rehabilitation: Oluwo Applauds Osun Government, Omowaiye For Intervention

With the ongoing rehabilitation of Osogbo – Iwo road in Osun, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1 has commended the Government, Ministry of Works under the leadership of Engr. Omowaiye Oluremi as Commissioner.
While commending the Government, Oba Akanbi who visited the site of the ongoing road rehabilitation at about 7:30 pm on Tuesday on his way back from Canada said the rehabilitation of this particular road by the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola has significantly improved the life of the people, alleviating the discomfort commuters encounter on a daily basis.
He said that the experience of Residents of the area due to the failure of bad state of the road has not only been harrowing but frustrating, adding that the rehabilitation of roads by the State Government is vital to the socio-economic development of the state.
While appreciating the State Government for embarking on the massive palliative work on the State inner roads, oluwo expressed satisfaction that the Government is taking into cognisance strategic needs of the people by developing ways to ameliorate the suffering of the citizens.

Earlier on Tuesday, the state commissioner for works and transport, Engr. Omowaiye during the first day of Osun Economic and Investment Summit, visited the site to witness how the asphalt was laying to the completed portion on the road.
He urged the motorists and commuters of the axis to continue their support to the government and the engineers working day and night on Osogbo – Iwo road, He also assured them that the Road will be completed within short period of months.
