Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, today led a special prayer session for the newly promoted General Lamidi Adeosun.
The prayer was held at Oluwo Central Mosque, Iwo shortly after Jumaat prayer.
Oluwo, who prayed fervently for Lt General Adeosun implored religious leaders to remember the general in their supplications, describing the man as a good ambassador of Iwoland and an asset to the Nigerian army.
“Iwoland sons and daughters need your prayer now. One of them is the newly promoted Lt General Lamidi Adeosun. Let’s support him with prayers for divine guidance, protection and direction. He is our pride, a modest ambassador and an asset to the Nigerian army. Let’s support him with prayers. I wish him the very best in divine direction”
On July 9, 2019 President Muhammadu Buhari approved the promotion of the Nigerian Army Chief of Training and Operations, Major General Lamidi Adeosun, to the rank of a Lieutenant General. This is the same rank as the Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai.
Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun hails from Ola-Oluwa local government, Osun State. Born on August 22, 1963.
