In a display of support for his subjects and a commitment to educational success, His Imperial Majesty, Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale Akanbi honoured the academic achievements of Prof. Lukmon Adeoti during the 16th inaugural lecture at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Prof. Lukmon Adeoti, a lecturer at UNILAG’s Department of Geophysics, delivered an enlightening lecture titled “Geophysicist and Human Survival” on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

The Iwo-born professor, Lukmon Adeoti, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics (Geophysics) at the University of Lagos in 1997 and Ph.D in Geophysics in 2007.
Oba Adewale Akanbi’s presence at this event highlights his desire for the success of sons and daughters from Iwoland, encouraging them to excel at all levels.
Oluwo of Iwoland is a unique king who champions the aspirations of his people.
