In commemoration of the PDP victory in the just concluded Osun State gubernatorial election held last week Saturday, July 17, 2022, a frontier PDP chieftain, Alh Nurudeen Emiloju, has ordered the immediate rehabilitation of a culvert along Oke-Ifa (More Blessing Street), Adjacent Olukotun Baptist Church, off Idi-Agbede Road, Iwo.
During an inspection, many users of the road and collapsed culvert appreciated Alh. Nurudeen Emiloju for coming to the rescue as the culvert has become an accident trap.
Nurudeen Emiloju said the mini project is dedicated to the victory of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke and a show of appreciation for people plying the road for their support during the Osun election held last Saturday, 16th of July 2022.
Alh. Nurudeen Emiloju contested in the last PDP primary for the House of Representatives to represent Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa constituency, however, lost to Alh. Lukman Kayode Mudashir (L&K).
Alh. Lukman Kayode Mudashir (L&K) said that the keenly contested primaries will help to strengthen the party and also enjoins other aspirants to join the team, work together in unison and achieve victory together in the general election.
The results of the Primary Election as gathered;
- Alh. Lukman Kayode Mudashir (L&K) – 41 votes
- Engr Lukman Ayodeji Bello – 34 votes
- Alhaji Nurudeen Mudashir Emiloju – 24 votes
- Mr. Akinwole – 05 votes
- Hon Asaliwa – 02 votes
- Void – 01 vote
