Ikonifin Indigene, Joshua Iyanuoluwa, Emerged as the UNILORIN Overall Best Graduating Student

In a groundbreaking achievement at the University of Ilorin’s 37th & 38th Convocation Ceremonies, Ikonifin Indigene, Joshua Iyanuoluwa Ayanlade, emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Hailing from Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Ayanlade’s academic brilliance shone brightly, earning him the prestigious title during the University of Ilorin’s 37th & 38th Convocation Ceremonies.

Ikonifin Indigene, Joshua Iyanuoluwa, Emerged as the UNILORIN Overall Best Graduating Student

Joshua Iyanuoluwa Ayanlade, a standout scholar from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, secured the title of Overall Best Graduating Student for the 2021/2022 Academic Session with an outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.93.

This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon Joshua Iyanuoluwa Ayanlade during the grand finale of the University of Ilorin’s 37th & 38th Convocation Ceremonies on Monday, October 23, 2023.

In a parallel triumph, another Iwo-Indigene, Alamu Azeez Adebayo, popularly known as Mr. Nigeria, made history by breaking a 40-year record. Azeez achieved the unprecedented feat of being the first graduate in the university’s 47-year existence to attain a first-class degree in the Department of Political Science, boasting an impressive CGPA of 4.58.

Alamu Azeez popularly known as Mr Nigeria hails from Lakata Compound (Ile Lakata), Iwo, Osun State.
