Gateway Dental Care Center Holds Dental Awareness and Sensitization Rally in Hospital Road Area, Iwo Ahead of Opening and Commencement of Activities.
As we are about to kick off activities at GATEWAY DENTAL CARE CENTER, it is quite expedient that we sensitize the public on the need to prioritize dental health.
A few days ago, a dental awareness and sensitization rally was held at the hospital road area in a bid to awaken the consciousness of the public on the importance of dental health which is an integral part of general health.

OLUWAFEMI OGUNSAKIN, a dental therapist and hygienist who doubled as the CEO of (GDC) while talking at the awareness program made it known that optimum general health can never be achieved without dental health.
In his statement, he said the mouth through which we talk and ingest life-sustaining substances (food, medicines and drinks) must be well taken care of to achieve optimum health conditions.
The rally was aimed at educating the members of the public on the reason they need to abide by oral hygiene instructions which will guarantee a healthy mouth and teeth.

In the course of the sensitization which lasted about 2 hours, people were enlightened on the causes, prevention and possible management of common dental diseases such as tooth decay, gum bleeding, gum infection, and mouth odour among others.
Also, the avenue was used to emphasise the importance to undergo a procedure called SCALING AND POLISHING, which is a procedure that guarantees a dirt-free mouth as the food remnants that might have adhered to all surfaces of the teeth will be removed through this process.
