Residents and road users in Iwo have been urged to exercise caution following an incident involving a petrol tanker that fell in front of the Energy Switch Filling Station, beside L.A. Grammar School, Oyo Junction, Kaara, Iwo.
According to eyewitness reports, the tanker fell on its side and fuel has been observed leaking from the vehicle, raising concerns about the possibility of a fire outbreak if urgent safety measures are not taken.
Members of the public are calling on emergency responders, fire service personnel, security agencies and other relevant authorities to swiftly intervene and ensure the safe evacuation of the tanker as well as secure the area from potential hazards.
Motorists and residents are advised to avoid activities that could ignite fire near the scene while authorities work to address the situation.
