The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has congratulated Muslims on the completion of the Ramadan fast which ultimately heralds the 2022 Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
Oluwo also enjoined the Muslim faithful to device Islam to uphold the unity of Nigeria.
In an Eid Fitri message by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, Oba Adewale reiterated his voice to a united Nigeria, saying Muslims have a fundamental role to play through demonstration and preaching of peace Islam represents.

According to the monarch: “As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitri to mark the end of this year’s Ramadan, I felicitate Nigerians, particularly the Muslims. I extend the greetings to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari, my workaholic Governor of Osun State, Islamic clerics, and the traditional institution. I pray Allah will reward us alk for keeping to His dictates. Also, I enjoin everyone to sustain and replicate the teachings of the Holy month in their routine engagements.”
“I appeal to Nigerians to promote peace and conduct themselves in a manner that will cement the unity of Nigeria along ethnic, religious, and political lines. Nigeria is bigger than every one of us. Let’s respect her oneness and promote her strength. What division can do, peace can do better.”
“I call on religious and political leaders to enhance the unity of Nigeria in their preachings and conduct ahead of the 2023 general elections.” Oba Adewale concluded.
