The Osun State Government Ministry of Education delegation led by Commissioner for Education, Folorunso Bamisayemi, in Iwo today to inspect the proposed temporary site for Federal College of Education, Iwo.
The inspection was done by the state government today in Iwo Local Government. Folorunso Bamisayemi came to inspect the ground and the environment the Federal College of Education will be sited. This inspection comes a day after the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja has published an official Press released that only Iwo local government has been approved in Osun State for the tertiary institution.

The delegation team visited the palace of Oluwo of Iwoland and as well went to pay a courtesy visit to Barrister Gbadegesin, the Asiwaju of Iwoland and an APC Chieftain after the tour.
Political holders, prominent religious leaders in Iwoland and major stakeholders were at the inspection conducted by the Osun State Government Ministry of Education delegation led by Commissioner for Education, Folorunso Bamisayemi. Among them are; the Mogaji dynasty, Sheikh Imran Molaasan of Jamatu Ta’awun, Prof Lai Olurode, Alhaji Liad Tella, Sheikh Yakub Baaqi, Engr Mumini Olabamiji, Hon Mudasiru Toogun, Iwo Local Chairman, Hon Ezekiel Adedibu and many others.
The academic activities at the Federal College of Education Iwo are scheduled to start by October 2020 as communicated by the Federal Ministry of Education.
