The Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo said that he dabbled into politics to offer pure service to humanity as a way of giving back to the society which has already made him.
Senator Oriolowo stated this at his residence in Iwo while giving two bank cheques (a sum of N1,000,000) to the representatives of two communities in Iwo to assist them in the purchase of new electricity transformers. The two communities are Feesu and Mogaji.

Senator Oriolowo noted that as a retired Permanent Secretary in the Osun State Civil Service, he had achieved all that needed to be tagged successful. According to him, there are many things begging for positive actions in Osun West Senatorial District generally and Iwo in particular.
He pointed out that within the space of under two years, many things that were eluding Iwo before had already been accomplished.
These include Federal College of Education, Iwo, National Library complex, Iwo, Modern Farm Estate Gbongan, Road construction and rehabilitation both in Ejigbo and Ede in addition to sinking of borehole virtually in most parts of the ten local government areas that make up Osun West Senatorial District.

Senator Oriolowo said that the next two years of his first term in Office would witness tremendous achievements for his people in the Osun-West Senatorial District.
Responding, the spokesmen of the communities expressed joy that Senator Oriolowo who did not promise them any assistance surprised the communities by suddenly giving them the exact amount required for the two transformers.
