Oluwo is a Worthy Ambassador of Islam and Asset to Yorubaland - Chief Imam Offa

The Grand Chief Imam of Ọffaland, Sheikh Dr. Muhideen Salman Husayn, has praised the Oluwo of Iwoland, Ọba Abdulrosheed Adéwálé Akanbi, as a worthy ambassador of Islam and a cultural icon for Yorubaland.

During his sermon at the 4th Anniversary and N100m Appeal Fund event for NASFAT Owode Oke Ijetu, held at Fountain University, Osogbo, Imam Ọffa highlighted the historic and monumental honour Ọba Adéwálé Akanbi brought to Islam during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia.

The Imam lauded the Oluwo’s respect for culture and traditions, noting that his regal appearance during the visit showcased the rich heritage of Yorubaland.

Ọba AbdulRasheed Adéwálé Akanbi also generously donated a sum of N1 million to support the ongoing construction of the Islamic Centre.

Oluwo is a king who does not only upholds the principles of Islam but also preserves and honours our rich cultural traditions.
