Arrangements are in top gears to ensure that the newly sited Federal College of Education (FCE), Iwo takes off as scheduled without any hitches.
This was the arrangements as the town settled for a gigantic structure in the premise of L.A Commercial Grammar School built by the immediate House of Representatives for Ayiwola federal constituency, Hon. AbdulGafar Amere as a temporary site for the school. And for the permanent site, Eleere land at Ileko Oba was the agreed location.
This was disclosed on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, when the Commissioner for Education, Honourable Oladoyin Olayinka Folorunso, and his team paid a visit to Iwo and were taken around the two locations.

Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, was joined by prominent sons and daughters of the town to tour the two facilities with the state government delegations, indicating the readiness of the town to host the newly approved school.
Both the temporary and permanent sites are a few kilometers apart, explaining the reason behind the choice.
With that done, Iwo is now expecting the delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education on a technical assessment that will run through 17-06-2020 to 19-06-2020.
