The honourable member representing Iwo Federal Constituency at the House of Representative, Hon. Amobi Yinusa, partners with the National Institute for Art and Cultural Orientation (NICO) to organize a Cultural Training and Empowerment Programme for 200 Women and Youths in Iwo Federal Constituency.

Iwo Federal Constituency which consists of Iwo, Ola-Oluwa and Ayedire local government recently benefitted from the skills acquisition and empowerment programme sponsored by Hon Yinusa Amobi. The skills acquisition on fisheries production started on 11th December, 2019 at at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Hon Amobi Yinusa with his mandate has promised to reduce the rate unemployment among youths in Iwoland. This time, Hon Amobi Yinusa collaborated with the National Institute for Art and Cultural Orientation (NICO) to facilitate skills acquisition for youths and women.

The partnership with NICO will ensure 200 Women and Youths in Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency are trained on Tie and Die, Bead Making and Hair Weaving.

The skills acquisition held between 23rd and 24th December, 2019.

Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, Olowu of Owu Kuta, the Olubode of Bode-Osi and other dignitaries visited the training venue, His Imperial Majesty lauds the lawmaker for making youths and women a priority.

APC chieftains in Iwoland like Alhaji Gafari, Alhaji Liad Tella, Hon Ezekiel Adeyemo and others were present at the closing ceremony of the empowerment programme.

The participants received certificate of attendance at the end of the programme. Hon Amobi said 2020 will be a great year for many beneficiaries of the programme as he expects them to start and grow small businesses.
