Iwo-born Dr. Amidu Tadese, Sworn in as NPC Commissioner by President Tinubu

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Dr. Amidu Tadese Raheem as a Federal Commissioner for the National Population Commission (NPC).

Dr. Amidu Tadese Raheem hails from the prestigious Tadese Royal Family in Iwo, Osun State.

The swearing-in ceremony, which was held just before the commencement of the fifth Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting of 2024, had Fasuwa Johnson Johnson (Ogun State) and Dr. Amidu Tadese Raheem (Osun State) sworn in.

Dr. Amidu Tadese’s Educational Achievements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oduduwa University, Ile-Ife.
  • Bachelor’s in Arts and Education from the University of Ilorin.
  • Master of Science in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
  • PhD in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

Dr. Tadese’s political journey includes winning a seat in the Osun State House of Assembly in 1992, representing Iwo Constituency 1, and later becoming the Chief Whip.

He also held the position of Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy under former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
