A Tour of Inspection/ Familiarization By Oluwo

You don’t lead always from the altar, sometimes you join the congregation to feel their feelings. The population you command is not a limitation to your responsibilities. The land mass is not even a barrier to equal dividends. As posited by the popular Yoruba aphorism “Eni ti a kofe nile re jin” It is only the person we don’t love we claim his house is far”.

Oluwo, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi yesterday, with his horse, took a ride round Iwo to inspect and familiarise with his sons, daughters and residents of the ancient city.

In his many hours’ tour on horseback, he enjoyed his subjects company, association, affinity and remarks of observations on the strengths and weaknesses of Iwo.

Equally, the lacking of the community and her people were penned for external intervention. The damaged surveyed of some rainstorm affected buildings were taking for redemption as pledged by a Microfinance in Lagos.

Also, dilapidated portions of Iwo roads were noticed for communication to the government for intervention.

Leadership is a given natural task but only distinctively deliver by a responsible leader. As a leader, feel your people. As a leader, feed your people. Also, as a competent leader, listen to your people. As a distinctive leader, heal their wounds. As a virile leader, lead them right.

Oluwo, to the best of his ability, is lifting souls and defining true leadership with his daily conducts, actions and inactions. Everything about him is a message, only for the eyes.
