Taawun National President Appointed as The Grand Mufty of Yorubaland

The Emir of Yorubaland, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi has appointed the National President, of Jama’at Ta’awunil Muslimeen, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, as the Grand Mufty of Yorubaland.

This was disclosed today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in a letter presented to him by Oluwo in his Palace.

Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, the founder and National President of Jama’at Taawunil Muslimeen. Sheikh Daood Imran was born to a family of devoted Muslims in Iwo.

His late father, Alhaji Imran Muhammad Nafiu, popularly called Alaloye was an active member of the Islahudeen Missionary Association of Nigeria and Imam for Molaasan’s compound.

The step taken by Oluwo would assist the ongoing formation of Islamic Structure in Yorubaland which its ideology is being championed by Taawun President with the help of Sheikh Yahqub Abdul Baaqi, the Wazeer of Yorubaland.

Both are unanimously working together to ensure unity among Yoruba Muslims, and creating an Islamic front for, the revival of Yoruba Islam.
