In a ceremony of legal distinction, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale Akanbi, attended the prestigious inauguration of Barr. Adedayo Adedeji as the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) held on 27th of November 2023 in Abuja.
Barr. Adedayo Adedeji, a distinguished legal professional, has been recognized for his remarkable contributions to the Nigerian judiciary.
His appointment as one of the 58 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria was approved during the 159th Plenary session of the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) on October 12th, 2023, under the Chairmanship of the Hon. Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honorable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
In attendance at the ceremony, the Oluwo of Iwoland expressed immense pride in Barr. Adedayo Adedeji, hailing him as a source of honour for Iwoland.
Oba Adewale Akanbi said: “I was there to honour my son and pride, Barr. Adedayo Adedeji. His contributions to the Nigerian judiciary are immeasurable, making him a true pride of Iwoland. This achievement is not just his; it belongs to all of us.”
