Olupona Day: Oluponna Students’ Union carries out Environmental Sanitation

Federation of Oluponna Students’ Union on Thursday, October 17, 2024, carried out a sanitation exercise on selected areas within Oluponna town. The initiative tagged “Operation Clean Oluponna” aimed at giving back to the community through acts of service.

The Olupo of Oluponna, Oba Abdul-Rafiu Oyekanmi Mosobolaje, Bamigboye II received the entourage just before the commencement of the activity. He commended them for their service to the community.

The areas sanitised include Bovas, Araromi, Gbandu and Alaya communities. Gbotemi Adigun, the president of the union while speaking to Iwoland Hub said the programme was FOSU’s contribution to the 57th Oluponna day stated for Saturday, 19th of October, 2024.

He reiterated the commitment of the students’ body to the community and further stated that the union would not relent.
