Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi has felicitated with Muslims home and abroad on the Ileya Festival. While wishing Muslims a happy celebration, Oluwo called on Muslim faithfuls not to forget the symbolic significance of the sacrifices of the Eid-el-Kabir.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message, Oluwo of Iwoland said the outbreak of coronavirus has made it difficult for people to gather in places of worship and other social gatherings as they are used to. Yet, people need to be thankful for being alive till today.
Oluwo admonishes all and sundry to thread softly, drive safely and stay alive by observing all the guidelines and safety precautions prescribed by the government in halting the continuous transmission and spread of the ravaging coronavirus disease.

Oluwo urges Muslim faithfuls to abide by the guidelines for the safety of their lives, and loved ones, he said:
“Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful worldwide. It is a very hard time in the world right now, some of our loved ones have passed occassioned by Coronavirus but in all things.”

“We still owe God the praise and glory, may God in His infinite mercies protect us and put an end to this Pandemic. You are reading this because you are alive. So, give thanks and praise to everything and enjoy life to the fullest.”
“Manage your interaction with your old ones at home. They are most vulnerable to this virus. Ensure you and your old ones use protective items such as face mask and hand sanitizer. May God heal the world. The world should stay safe.” Oluwo concluded.
